Sustainable European River Cruising

Sustainable travel is an inherent part of our company's DNA. For decades, we have invested our resources – in time, people and financial support – to preserve places where we travel for the enjoyment of future generations. To date, the vast majority of our focus has been to our National Parks, extraordinary treasures for us all, through grants and volunteer projects. Increasingly we see signs of harm to our natural world's resources – in oceans, rivers and places all around the world. We believe it's time for our company's focus to include greater responsibility and care for our planet and have established a new program called Our Planet to do just that. 

We are rolling out new eco-friendly conservation initiatives aboard our river cruises that are thoughtful to both the environment and our guests. They include shower-mounted dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and bath gel to eliminate the use of thousands of tiny, single-use plastic bottles. We will provide guests on tour with insulated reusable water bottles to help reduce plastic waste consumption on our trips. Where available, we will also be purchasing cleaner-burning GTL fuel for our ships, good for every living thing. 

We pledge to do our part to protect our precious planet for the sake of future generations. We hope Tauck's Our Planet program will collectively inspire our guests, partners, employees and friends to join us in our efforts. Thank you.
